An attempt at blogging… with 3 kids and no head space….
Where did the words that I used to have go? I remember back
in the days when I thought I had no time, I had so much to say, so much to
write, and so many hugs to give! What happened? This is an attempt to write, to
see if I can put myself back with the same mind I once had, and still be the
mummy I am today, setting new challenges, and maybe with an audience, see those
goals achieved. My challenge this week is to stay home all week. I failed this
morning, and I took the kids out to visit dad. LOL. That doesn’t count as going
out… technically… J
just so you know, today is only Tuesday. Glancing at the clock it is 1:22pm !!!
There is that number I always have given to me! Number 22. Will elaborate on
that some time… another day.
So I usually do a clean out of my pantry once every few
months, I know I did it not very long ago, maybe even weeks… But today, I
realize it needs to be done again. This time with a new challenge! I have a
thermomix, and I need to use my thermomix for what I intended it for. To save
money, and to eat better.. I have made one step since getting it, and that is
eating better.. We do eat out less, but we do still like to eat out. I want to
change that, to actually not wanting to eat out very much at all. So cleaning
out the pantry, I want to see what I have hiding in there, as I sent the
husband to the shop yesterday to get some salt… today I saw that we had salt!
Not happy. It was hiding! Frustrating. We lost about $4 I guess. That isn’t
very much… But at this point, I’d like to think of it as a lot because I want
to change the way we spend to see what we can save. We did not have to spend $4
yesterday. Times that 7 days in a week, and I know that we always randomly
spend $4 every day, we waste $28 !! That is, in my eyes, half of the money I
need to visit Veronica and her horses. I could have been there the following
week! BUT NO! We wasted $4. I will get to talking about Veronica and the horses
sometime soon J
So cleaning out the pantry, seeing what we have in there,
and doing up a meal plan, based on what we have… no more running to the shop
buying stuff every day, and adding it to the abyss that I call pantry.
Staying home all week… Not spending any un-necessary money…
making meal plan with what I have. Today is Tuesday.
